Berserkyd : Honorable Warrior (Review)
Berserkyd is the punk, metal project of a video game animator Pascal Mimeault, from Montreal. Honorable Warrior, is his fourth release and this time he has a theme, For Honor, that's the title of a video game he worked on and was published by Ubisoft. The music is very fast and strong. The idea is to play the game and listen to the album, but I can feel that you can go to the gym and listen to it as well. The songs have a good beat that is consistent through them. You can hear the video game vibe it reminds me of Japenese games like Castlevania. The music is never looping and always inventive. I liked the metal beats and the guitar melodies, it does what it says, it's stimulating. The music is very clean and heavy, no rough edges here. A fun album with a good beat for intense workout or gaming. The guy does that for fun and he does a good job.
