Mørkt Kappitel : Usnuelig Ferd (Review)
Usnuelig Ferd is the brand new album of the hardcore punk band from Trondheim, Norway. This is for sure an intense album that goes beyond the traditional hardcore music. The voice is scorch like a crust punk singer, the different sonority can also fit in the post hardcore or neo crust categories. No matter how you try to label the band it doesn't matter they are great. I enjoyed the nine songs of their first album. They have been busy for the past years, releasing singles and EPs, but they had to finally unleash a full album. The guitars are intense, almost dawned by the distortion, but with some sonority that makes the melodies of the songs. The drum is strong, almost guiding the music with the different lines, that are always changing, it highlights the different riffs and add a powerful touch to the songs, Vardøger is a great example of the drum creativity. With a strong bass the music is good, but you can tell that live, Mørkt Kappitel is powerful and that you have a great time in a show. The album is currently available online and you can feel all its varieties and hear the rage of the songs. A great way of experiencing hardcore music. Go listen to their music and discover them.
