Boycott The Baptist : Did You Just Assume My Beverage? (Review)
Boycott The Baptist is a duo from Lincoln UK gives us a new album, with a great cover art. It represents their sound for sure: harsh and funny. The music is a mix of grind core, death metal and a bit of doom sometimes.
The sound is brutal, a heavy tone on the guitar (Arthur) Powerful riffs and strong delivery. The drum (Alex) is great, always creative and fast. The lyrics well, that's grind core, they are fun and vulgar, the texts are even available to read if you want to know what they are saying, most of it are profanities. The album has a good variety of songs and a lot of effects in between to connect everything together.
They are helped by friends on some of the songs and you feel the fun of recording coming through. They have as guests: Dan Collins on the Bass, Richard Turner on Piano and Emma Griffiths vocal for some songs. Find their album, if you also want to contribute also some of the money will go to help the victims of London terrorist attacks or the homeless.
