Boids: Demo Bag (Review)
5 new songs from the punk rock band of Montréal, Boids, they are weird, but man they are fun to hear.
What are the songs about? A lot of stuff, but seems that doing drugs in the basement is something that comes out. The music is so enthusiastic you can't be sad after you hear all five songs, and for some reason you have to hear them all at once. No worries, they are short so don't be afraid to sit through all 5 of them, what am I talking about? You can't just sit there when you listen to their music.
The demo is a bit different than their last release, they are going to the fun and joy side of music, where the previous album was a bit more serious. The sound balance between the guitar and the bass is better, because on Superbafrango the bass was a little bit more forward.
This demo is my kind of stuff, i have no idea if the goal is to tease us with a full album in the future, but i wouldn't mind to hear more songs with that vibe. Until then i will listen to the demo again and again.
