Interview with Night Terror

Rezine: What's new with Night Terror?

Night Terror: We got our first album out! It's a collection of two separate recordings, the first demo (4songs) and 7 songs we recorded at the end of January last year. All mastered/remastered in a glorious 12 inch, see-through clear vinyl.

Rezine: You have a new S/T LP out how do you describe it?

Night Terror: I would describe it as a good Rock'n'Roll record, there's variety in between songs and the live-in-studio recording process helps adding rawness and dimension to the songs. It's as Punk Rock as they come, but there's more to it than just a one trick pony.

Rezine: What were your musical influences for this LP?

Night Terror: Musical influences? Mmm! I think you can hear the RAMONES vibe more than once here, plus there's some '90's Action Rock and Garage Punk. Some early Hardcore and Riot Grrrl ala Bratmobile too maybe. We've got quite a wide spectrum of influences so pinpointing just one or two wouldn't be fair.

Rezine: What inspired the lyrics of the songs?

Night Terror: Frankie's lyrics pretty much revolve around how our society's patriarchy model is a total bullshit, and frankly (pun intended :D), who are we to disagree?

Rezine: Do you have songs that didn't make it that we might hear later?

Night Terror: We had a song we played live for a long time but we dropped it like, 2 years ago and never actually recorded it! I wrote the music for that one and Frankie did the lyrics but after a while the guys were like: Please can we drop this one? We're sick of it already! Haha! There are some poor quality rehearsal space versions of it somewhere but I doubt we will ever record/release it anytime this century.

Rezine: What's coming up for Night Terror?

Night Terror: Night Terror is trying to put together a tour in mainland Europe for next spring to further promote the album and we have 5 brand spanking new songs in the works! One of them is already a stable feature on our live set-list, the other four are nearly ready. Hopefully we'll enter the studio soon enough to get them recorded and maybe release an EP next year? Answers on a postcard!
